The Prints

All photos displayed on the Visions in Nature web site are available for purchase. There is a wide variety of paper types, print sizes, framing options and extras available for you.

Bay Photo, one of the premiere print labs in the United States, handles the printing, mounting and shipping of the prints. Bay Photo is renowned for their color accuracy, print quality and consistency. All prints are color corrected to match their printers for precise image color, clarity and sharpness and is included in the cost of the print. The prints are carefully flat-packed, such as damage during shipment is almost unheard of.

Prints can be purchased by clicking on the "Buy Photo" or Cart icon displayed on the gallery pages or when displaying a photo. Prices vary by size and printing surface; these options will be presented to you once you click the Buy Photo button.

Paper and Material Print Options

Bay Photo offers a large variety of paper types and other printing materials – the choices can be a bit overwhelming for people who are not familiar with these options. I have tried to help your purchasing experience by carefully selecting what I believe are the very best options for my prints.

Depending on the selected print material selection, you may need to have your print mounted, matted and framed in order to properly protect it and hang it on your wall.

These types of products, papers and print materials are offered:

    ♦    Photo Paper, with your choice of a luster or metallic finish.

    ♦   Fine Art Prints, using thick cotton paper with a mat finish.

    ♦   Flat Mounted Giclée Canvas mounted on rigid Gatorboard.

    ♦   ThinWraps, beautifully finished satin laminate prints wrapped on sturdy Gatorboard.
         The available finishes are Metallic/Satin and Luster/Satin.

    ♦   Metal prints, with a choice of High Gloss, Satin or Mid Gloss finishes.

    ♦   Greeting Cards.

Details about each of these options are below.

Photo Paper 

There are two available Photo Paper finishes. All photo prints will need to be mounted, matted and framed in order protect the print and hang it on your wall.

Lustre has the color saturation of glossy paper but with the fingerprint resistance of matte. Lustre does not have the glare that is associated with glossy paper. Lustre is a professional-grade paper, printed on Kodak Professional Endura paper and is materially 'thicker,' or heavier, than consumer paper.

Metallic has a glossy finish and unique metallic appearance, these prints have extra visual interest and depth. Metallic paper produces striking, three-dimensional, lasting images with extreme sharpness, brightness, and color saturation. The paper used is the Kodak Professional Endura Metallic paper.

Metallic paper works particularly well for photos that contain water or rocks, along with black and white photos.

Photo Paper Prints Add-Ons

For all Photo Paper Prints, you can have your prints beautifully finished with mats, frames, mountings and more, saving you a trip to the framers. These options are available during the checkout process, with options that can be selected individually for each print. MetalPrints

MetalPrints provide a uniquely durable print with vibrant colors, brilliant luminescent images, and exceptional detail. These prints are made by infusing dyes directly into specially coated aluminum sheets. Because the image is infused into the surface and not on it, your images will take on an almost magical luminescence. The ultra-hard scratch-resistant surface is waterproof/weatherproof and can be cleaned easily – just avoid direct sunlight.

MetalPrints do not need to be framed, as they come with a float mount hanger that is attached to the back of the print, which and floats the print 1/2-inch off the wall when hung. Your finishing options include Satin, Mid-Gloss and High Gloss.

Ready-to-Hang ThinWraps

ThinWraps are finished float mount prints, such that no frame is required. You will have the choice of Metallic or Luster paper, which is then over-laminated soft Satin Laminate finish. The resulting product is wrapped on Gatorboard.

ThinWraps do not need to be framed, as they come with a float mount hanger that is attached to the back of the print, which and floats the print 1/2-inch off the wall when hung. ThinWraps are available in Metallic/Satin, Lustre/Satin or Canvas/Satin finishes.

Note: a small portion (3/16th of an inch) of the sides of the image is “wrapped” around the mounting board, such that the final print will appear a little bit cropped. You will be able to review and confirm the “crop effect” during the checkout process before deciding to purchase this option.

Flat Mounted Giclée Canvas

These Giclée Canvas prints are printed directly onto museum-quality canvas material using high-quality archival inks, and then mounted on Gatorboard.

Greeting Cards

Yes! Greeting cards can also be ordered. The elegant press printed greeting cards are customizable and professionally printed on high end card stock. They come with envelopes and include countless combinations of designs, layouts, paper and envelope types, colors, foils, and shapes. All these options will be shown to you when you select the Cards option when selecting one of more photos.
